Baffle Distributors®
The Baffles Distributors® are static sampling equipment used to take samples at constant and adjustable flow rates from dams, canals, etc. from free surface water flows.
Once the device has been adjusted and blocked, the flow rate delivered has a constant value, even in the event of variations in upstream and/or downstream levels.
Thanks to its large network of partners all over the world, Interhydro is able to provide you, in Mali as well as in more than 30 countries in Africa, with Masked Module® systems allowing you to control the flow of water in canals.
Characteristics of the Baffles Distributors®
Each Baffle Distributor® module consists of orifices of different widths depending on the desired flow rate.
There are 4 types of devices depending on the nominal flow rate:
- X series: 10 l/s/dm
- XX series: 20 l/s/dm
- L series: 50 l/s/dm
- C Series: 100 l/s/dm
Each X, XX, L or C series is assigned a 1 or 2 index depending on whether the devices are of the 1 or 2 mask type.
These appliances are in the form of mechanically welded steel units to be built into a masonry structure where reservations have been made.
